Today's my 1-year Netflix Anniversary! 🎉
I’m absolutely in love with my job. I’m on the best team in the world doing the most fun work of my career 🔥
I get asked a lot about my time at Netflix, what I do, and what I love about it, so here’s what I’ve got.
❤️ What do you do at Netflix?
I’m a recruiter for the new gaming division! I support our game development studio and helping to build the dream team that'll develop Netflix Games! I specifically support our External Games Development team and Night School Studio; recruiting for Production, Design, Art, Animation, Product Management, Live Service, Business Development, Brand, and QA.
❤️ What's the culture like?
If you’ve read No Rules Rules or our Culture Deck online, what you read is what you get. Yes, I was skeptical at first when I first read about Netflix’s culture. I didn’t want to believe it until I got here. However, even from day one, the culture is lived, breathed, and embodied in every employee. There’s nothing in between the lines and no “unspoken rules” hidden anywhere. I love that we hire the best, to do the best work, to move the business forward, with no egos, and executing on our mission to entertain the world.
❤️ What do you like about working there?
Being part of building something new for Netflix, my team, and the people I get to work with. I'm helping build something from the ground up and I love the thrill of it. I feel and see my impact and value. I’m on the most badass team of TA professionals and am lucky to work alongside them. The teams I get to support and work with are stunning! Periodt. I come to work excited everyday and I know that’s something special.
❤️ Favorite Netflix game/what're you playing?
So many good ones, but I love Krispee Street! It’s the only one I’ve completed all the way through and am waiting for new levels! Highly recommend if you like hidden object games! I’ve started most of our games, but on repeat is Poinpy, Hextech Mayhem, and Shatter Remastered. My goal is to play all our games!
❤️ What's something you'd change?
The perception of what Netflix Games is. For people who truly know games, it takes years to develop, produce, and launch something! While we have games already on the platform, that’s barely scratching the surface! Success and getting this right doesn’t and won’t happen overnight! There are already naysayers and we’ve only just gotten started. I hope to see more excitement for this new space and era for Netflix!
Cheers to more years! 🥂
