Yes, interviewers want to know if you can do the job, but they are also evaluating your work style.

Call it culture fit, culture add, value fit, etc.

But people will want to know that:

✅ You have a business mindset. You’re there to help drive the business forward.
✅ You’re personable. People want to work with others they can easily be around.
✅ You’re reliable and dependable. They can put their trust in you to get the job done.
✅ You’re excited to learn. You’re genuinely curious and are intentional about asking questions.
✅ You’re easy to work with. Work can be hard; they want to know a person won’t make it more difficult.

I see people focus a lot on getting through the interview to prove they can do the job. This is important, but you’re not a machine. You bring other layers of yourself to work that help benefit the team, the company, and the quality of your tasks and projects.
