Your objective: get the 3-gold-star standard for a referral.
⭐️ Referral Level 1 - 1 Star: “This person messaged me their resume on LinkedIn. I don’t know them, not sure if they have the experience, but just passing their name along.”
⭐️⭐️ Referral Level 2 - 2 Star: “I had a chat with this person and they said they were interested in X role. Seems like they have the experience, but that’s all I know about them.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Referral Level 3 - 3 Star: “I networked with this person and took the time to get to know them. Heck, we’ve even become friends and I can really vouch for their experience. While I’ve never worked with them, I can say from knowing them, they would be great to work with and can be additive to the team.”
Think of any game that gives you 3 stars after a level is complete. 1 and 2 stars just don’t feel satisfying, so you go at it again until you get all 3.
Apply same logic here.
It’s a long-game though. I will die on this hill. But what happens when you get the 3 gold stars after that level? You unlock the next adventure.
Who’s game?
