Do this if you want to be left on read.

I probably won't respond or do anything if I see this in my inbox ๐Ÿšซ

That's because 99% of the time, the message goes....

"Hi Marie, I'm looking for a job. Here's my resume. Let me know what I'm a fit for".

For me, this reads as:

"Hi Marie, I'm a job seeker and would like you to do the job search for me and tell me what jobs I'm a match for because I didn't look at the career site of the company you work for or do prior research to see what opportunities are available. I know what I want to do, but I'm not going to tell you what I want. I want you to tell ME what I want. But don't get it wrong. My resume says data analytics, but I want to go into game development, but again, I'm not going to tell you that directly. Figure it out. For me."

Tell me you're catching my drift here ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

And also, why are you wasting your InMail on messages like this?!

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ Please. I'm here to help.

- Find the job on the career site
- Apply
- If possible, find the right recruiter for the opportunity AKA read LinkedIn profiles
- In your message, let them know what role you were interested in, that you already applied, and a blurb on what makes you a good fit. Include RELEVANT experience.

This formula will get you a better chance of being noticed. And better chance of your InMail use being worth it.

Also, I do read these messages; InMail or DMs. And when a relevant profile comes up, I send it to the proper recruiter or hiring manager. I may not always respond, but I will pass along your profile to get reviewed. But I definitely don't have time to respond to the attached resume with no other context. Sorry not sorry ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Just trying to help y'all out.
