Let’s change our approach and mindset when messaging recruiters! If you’re only looking to find the “right” recruiter you’re missing the opportunity to build relationships 💎

It’s hard to determine which recruiter is working on what roles. Reality is that you won’t get it right every time. Sometimes a recruiter doesn't have what they’re hiring for on their profile or they work for large organizations and there’s a lot of them.

But if you’re going to shoot your shot to message them, and they weren’t the proper contact, DON’T IGNORE THEM.

💡 Make an opportunity to network with them
💡 Get to know who are they are and what it is they do hire for
💡 Connect them with your network
💡 Continue to engage with them and stay on their radar
💡 If you got our attention, don’t let us forget about you

I’m seeing this happen to me and it makes me sad when people realize I’m the “wrong” person and disappear. No follow up. No thank you. Just gone 😭

I get it. I’m not getting them to their end result which is a job. But don't let that be your only motive. Recruiters can be your friends if you want!
